I am thinking about purchasing a monzo card to use here

Does anyone know if it is widely accepted in Thailand

( it is a mastercard- so I’ve been told)

You wouldn't have to purchase one - they're free when you open an account.  Biggest drawback is free ATM withdrawals is restricted to £200 in 30 days before a 3% charge kicks in.  It'll work and be accepted like any other UK bank issued Mastercard.
