Hi,

I'm going to the Thai Consulate in Penang in Malaysia very soon

to apply for a Non-B visa.

Will you have to make an appointment with them like you do

with the Thai Embassy in Vientiene, Laos, or send an email to

them like you do to the Thai Embassy in KL?

Will it get busy if I go to Penang to apply for one on Friday?

Thank you in advance.

No need for an appointment in Penang.

It will not be busy on a Friday since most people don't want to wait until Monday to pick up their passport.

Hello ubonjoe,

Thank you for your info.

Can I go to the consulate to apply for the visa

by myself or should I pay for an agent to do it

for me?

How can I find the application form?

Thank you.

How can I find the website of The Thai Consulate where I can

see what documents that I need for a Non-B visa?

Do you need a medical certificate for it, though I know you'll

need one for a WP?

Thank you.

Not needed to apply for a non-b visa.

The Penang consulate website directs you to the website for the embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

You can check their checklists for the non-b visa you are applying for here. https://thaivisavientiane.com/#

Hi,

I was there 3 months ago, here are the documents needed at that time:

non-B single entry:

- passport

- invitation letter

- employment contract

- WP3 original or work permit with 3 months remaining ( I had 3 days remaining and it worked for me )

- DBD letter copy

- application for 90 days

- 1900 baths

non - B multiple entries

- passport

- work permit with 8 month remaining minimum

- invitation letter

- employment contract

- invitation letter

- You must be director of the company

- DBD letter copy

- application for 1 year

- I don t have the cost for this application

I suggest you contact Jim s place, he can give you the updated list of document and his service is not expensive ( and worth the cost ) as you get a taxi round trip to the consulate included, he will check all your documents and let you know if there is a problem, fill the forms etc... He will let you know if you have a problem and tell you how to fix it.
