He has a little toady assigned to reading the books summary on the jacket cover. He is then given a very abridged version of that , conveniently translated into Thai.

 

He mangled the oath of office so I can't see how he could manage any kind of book other than a comic.

Oh dear. I have a mental image of this. Somewhere in a rich politicians house, late at night , Somchai in his jimjams and Mrs Somchai in her ' no sex nighty ' are sat up in bed with two copies of this book and a laptop showing Google translate.
