It has been a while since I had my visa from Penang...but i think it will have changed very little since then... I went to the agent , on CHULIA STREET ,at nine in the morning...was told that the visa would be ready next day...but...by paying an extra 20 Ringatt, it was available the same day, just after 4 pm... cheap, friendly,and pain free... hope this helps............

They accept Visa applications from 9h in the morning, I think for 3 hours. Pickup time is the next day from 14.00h. I recently used the visa service which is 20 RM, and offered by travelagencies and guesthouses. It saves 12 RM, as you do not have to take the Taxi 2 times to the consulate, which is 8 RM per Trip (from Chulia) and by far more convenient. Don't forget the photo! The consulate is not open for visa service saturday/sunday and on Thai holidays.
March 20, 200719 yr fxe1200 is right. Get it in before 11 am and pick up the next day around 2PM. There is no such thing as same day service anymore. Don't forget to have two (2) photos with your application and needed documents. BR

March 21, 200719 yr And there's a Fuji shop on Chulia St that'll do your photos for you if you don't get them before you go.
