Well if you have no work permit you can have a tax I.D. cart.

I have one and I do not work.

Some years ago a bought a considerable amount of Thai government bonds, and when they pay me the interest they keep 15% also. But according to the tax system I have to pay about 8% . Well no problem I fill in my tax papers hand them over at the tax office an they pay me back in about 2 months, they payed me back 2002 already.

Easy also they just sent you a cheque...

Of course I do this with the help of my Thai wife....
