WHY is she making a statement that she needs this money to get a visa? Is it because she knows from other people's experiences or from what she hears from other Thais, either way its NOT true. THEY as a couple have to prove that there is a relationship and that the party in question is not going to be a burden on the English side of things and that she has reason to come back to Thailand, other than that, it's a moot point.
