The Phrae provincial administration will build a temporary bridge to replace a suspension bridge in Rong Kwang district that has been damaged by runoff, the provincial governor said.

Phrae governor Pongrat Piromrat and officials from the Phrae Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization, and the Tambon Mae Yang Tan Administrative Organization as well as tambon chiefs and village heads visited the site to inspect the damaged suspension bridge in Ban Sai Mool Nuan villge in Tambon Mae Yang Tan Monday morning.

The bridge was damaged by runoff over the weekend, disrupting transport between two tambons.

Pongrat said he would coordinate with the Phrae Highways Office and the 15th Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Regional office to install a temporary bridge as soon as possible so that transport could resume.
