BMW will officially launch its new 8 Series Convertible at the upcoming BMW Xpo 2019 to be held at Central World from September 12-15.

The M850i xDrive Convertible, priced at Bt13.499 million, features an automatic soft-top roof that opens and closes in just 15 seconds.

The convertible is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 engine capable of pumping out 530hp and 750Nm. Mated to an 8-speed automatic, it propels the car from 0-100km/h in a mere 3.9 seconds and to a top speed of 250km/h.

There will also be a full range of BMW models at the event, along with special offers. They include maintenance and warranty package extensions, a lucky draw with Bt1 million worth of air tickets from Thai Airways, and interest-free installment plans.

“For a decade, the BMW Xpo has been a special occasion, one where fans can get up close with the most complete line-up of BMW models and innovations under one roof,” BMW Thailand sales and marketing director Galdric Donnezan said. “The highlight this year – the BMW 8 Series Convertible – is the redefined statement of our clear and precise design language combined with the extensive range of BMW’s latest driver assistance technologies,” he added.

“We have been serving the Thai market with an array of ultimate BMW driving machines ranging from the all-new BMW 3 Series with enhanced sporting prowess and a brand-new exterior design to the first-ever BMW X7, the largest member of the X family that has been raising the bar of the modern luxury Sports Activity Vehicle experience from the beginning of this year,” Donnezan said.

i have noticed that the BMW's here wimpy engines. been a fan and owner of the 3 series for 3 decades, but have not seen any over a 2.0L engine here.  Thailand is not the best place to drive one either.  yes and the prices here are a joke.
