  • Ok, can you explain again please?

  • But, but Mr President, you said Mexico would pay for the wall!

  • I doubt you speak for "the American public", or that your wide brush comment is actually supported by fact. Some USA overseas deployments are widely objected to, others are not. As for asserting that

I completely agree with you on the need for the separation of powers, as defined in the US Constitution. However, there is something called the National Emergencies Act, enacted in 1976 under Pres. Carter, that gives the president extra-Congressional powers for situations they deem fit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Emergencies_Act

One is reminded of Ann Coulter's comment on the nature of the national emergency.

...brought to you by the same group of people that tried for 3 (?) years to undermine the duly elected POTUS....all at taxpayers expenses....with phony shenanigans that add up to treason....

...not to mention the apparent trillions that have gone missing at their hands.....

....please wake up people......

You keep doing it don't you? Never a real thoughtful comment just a useless sh*tcan of somebody's comment! And you talk about "trolling"!!!

And, obviously, your own "real thoughtful" contribution above is totally different.

Never is a big word, old son. Some comments get replied in kind, yes.

"This is the worst open borders the country has ever had under the president who ran against open borders," she said.

I know she's a conservative but I also know she's disagreed with Trump on several things. I had to do a quick Google search on your comment to find an article in "Real Clear Politics" (have no idea as to their editorial bent, if any exists) and it seems that she disparaged Trump (not too surprising actually). But from that article titled, "Ann Coulter: 'The Only National Emergency Is That Our President Is An Idiot'"  (https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/02/15/ann_coulter_the_only_national_emergency_is_that_our_president_is_an_idiot.html) it states:

""Forget the fact that he’s digging his own grave," Coulter said. "The only national emergency is that our president is an idiot."

"This is the worst open borders the country has ever had under the president who ran against open borders," she said."

That doesn't seem to disagree with Trump's use of the declaration of a national emergency. It seems rather, that she's claiming he hasn't done enough on building the wall. There is of course the part of the article where she states that Trump is "fooling the rubes with a national emergency" but she seems to then contradict that with the second sentence in the above quote.

Yes.

I think it doesn't matter all that much which of these two comments one focuses on, the bottom line is pretty much the same.

Please explain to us the military construction project that is more important than the one at the border. More bunkers in West Germany? Roads in Afghanistan? New mess hall in South Korea? If the American public had their way, all our troops would be brought back from Afghanistan, Korea, Germany, and Iraq and stationed instead on our Southern Border to defend America's security rather than whatever the hell they are doing overseas.

Military Base Loses Funding for New School to Trump’s Border Wall

"For almost two decades, families at Fort Campbell, the sprawling Army base along the Kentucky-Tennessee border, have borne the brunt of the country’s war efforts as a steady clip of troops with the 101st Airborne Division and from Special Operations units deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.

This week, the families discovered that they would not get the new middle school they were expecting so that President Trump could build his border wall. The school is on the list of 127 projects, touching nearly every facet of American military life, that will be suspended to shift $3.6 billion to the wall."

In other words, "No thank you for your service."

"A new report found that Trump has been directing the Pentagon to spend money at his failing golf club in Scotland."

Taken together, the incidents raise the possibility that the military has helped keep Trump’s Turnberry resort afloat — the property lost $4.5 million in 2017, but revenue went up $3 million in 2018.

"In early Spring of this year, an Air National Guard crew made a routine trip from the U.S. to Kuwait to deliver supplies."

What wasn’t routine was where the crew stopped along the way: President Donald Trump’s Turnberry resort, about 50 miles outside Glasgow, Scotland.

Considering how Mexico stepped their game up and illegal arrests are down by a huge percent, yes Mexco is paying for it. China is about to crack.

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in a bid to fund his promised wall at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Interesting that this wasn't a "National Emergency" during the first two years of this administration, when Republicans could have easily funded "The Wall".

What makes it a "National Emergency" now? I mean other than addressing Anne Coulter's misgivings? Or concerns that the lack of a wall might impact re-elect-ability? (Hint: It wasn't/isn't a national emergency.)

This is a bit like declaring Chinese imports as a "National Security" threat, to apply tariffs. As if being invaded by washing machines is a threat to our security? If CHinese imports are really a threat why not ban them entirely? How does making Americans pay $100 more for an imported washing machine improve our security? (Hint: It doesn't.)

Stealing money from Military projects which have long been appropriated, budgeted, well-reviewed, to fund a vanity project seems quite un-patriotic.

You think investigating, and revealing, Russian interference in the 2016 election is treason?  Are you Russian?

What trillions are you referring to?

Trump explained during the election "I love the uneducated".
