Avoid all these if you want to stay alive. We are just foreigners here. We just have an extension of stay, not even a visa.... Somchai has a very small heart. Lawang naaa

This snitching promotion only applies to locals, farangs would need a WP to do it.

The Thai greed for money and selling your soul into hell, has no boundries.

Nothing but Dogs licking the oil in the dirt where food has been.

Not keen on Thai people then?

Could you expand what you mean, as your post was a bit vague?

Changing batteries in the street seems a little peculiar, whats the aggravation with that one?.....

Very strange isn't it? It appears that one must now make sure flat vehicle batteries only occur at home or in a legally designated area. I'll ask Mrs Rasi the Thai method for ensuring batteries only fail in convenient places. ????

STASI ... comes to mind

Stasi
Secret police

Description

The Ministry for State Security or State Security Service, commonly known as the Stasi, was the official state security service of the German Democratic Republic. It has been described as one of the most effective and repressive intelligence and secret police agencies ever to have existed.

8. Blocking roads (such as reserving spaces outside homes) 10,000 baht fine

This means chairs parked in front of massage shops etc to reserve parking space ?

Can a foreigner with or without work permit report?

Can you report the same place every day they are making the same offence ?

I feel i become rich very soon.

This is an ancient chinese way to control the population.

In ancient china everybody wanted to report everything to the authorities, not

just for financial or political gains, but also just out of "good feeling" chinese

get from feeling part of the people with power.

problem was that it became so popular and such a nuisance to the authorities,

that the authorities had

to pass law against reporting to them.

Here are the ways to supplement your income and getting half the fine by reporting:

1. Dog owners who allow their pets to poop in the street and don't pick it up 500 baht fine (get 250)

2. Graffiti artists 5,000 baht fine

3. Trucks dropping sand, gravel and stones 3000 baht fine

4. Souped up vehicles and changing batteries in the street 5,000 baht fine

5. Blocking of entrance ways 5,000 baht fine

6. Vehicles on the sidewalk 5,000 baht fine

7. Dumping old cars in the street 5,000 baht fine

8. Blocking roads (such as reserving spaces outside homes) 10,000 baht fine

So they are willing to give half the fine (say around 2,500 baht) for a picture of an offense, but are not willing to hire one extra police office for say 1,000 baht per day to write out several fines?

The logic is missing in this one.

I call BS!

This might be a trick? Tell govt to pay first when you present evidence?  they will have many ways to sleaze out of this.  Only fines that were collected within 15 days will be payable to the snitch...1 out of 1000 people will get paid, and those people will be police family and friends.

A new way to provide money to police families.
