Friends are staying here for a few days with a tour group, non Chinese.  They invited me to join them on a Saturday afternoon...Would like some good, clean, informal Thai food.  Maybe a step ahead of street food, but inspiring street food would not be out.  Would like to stay in that area as they are coming off the marathon trip, and her mom is a healthy 80.  Seven minute walk to Surasak, but Sathorn can be relatively too quiet on weekends.  Any recs would be appreciated.  Any good duck soup or Phad Thai around there, On a Saturday night?  is there anything must see at the hotel itself?  A rooftop Drink isn't out of the question, but I think they would really like a taste of old Bangkok.  Thanks in advance!
