Two obvious reasons why you should build rather than buy

  In the west when buying a house you can be reasonably assured that  inspections were accomplished during the building process and that building codes were adhered too.

not so in Thailand ,  

  In addition when building your self rather than buying an already built home, you can customize the build to fit your wants, needs and likes. where , when buying an already would you have to search for something close enough to what you are looking for.
