onecar
If I buy an Elite visa but then find a job, can I hold both the Elite and the work visa concurrently? Say the job only lasts 1 year, then just go back to using the Elite. Anyone with experience doing this? Appreciate any info, thanks
The Fat Controller
Cannot hold both at the same time and do not think you can suspend an Elite and then continue again. https://www.thailandelite.com/faqs
JohnnyBKK
Elite visa is a tourist visa, if you work you will be arrested and deported most likely. 1
Popular Post simon43
Yes, this is legally possible. If you have an Elite visa, but want to work legally, you must apply for a non-immigrant visa and then work permit. The Elite visa will continue to run 'in the background' for the period that you're working. That is, it will not be suspended, so it will still expire on the same date as is shown on the visa. After/if you finish working, you simply don't renew your non-immigrant visa and your legal stay in Thailand picks up again using the Elite visa.

G950
I always thought that if you changed to a work visa the elite would be cancelled. Can't hold both at same time.

Many people have done it and it is even mentioned on the Thai Elite website.

So basically i can do this: - buy/have PE Visa just to be safe, as i have one now - Get non-b visa and work permit - use only this non-b visa to enter thailand, do everything according to non-b/work permit law, i am not allowed to use PE visa while having non-b for immigration, but can prolly continue using the elite services like limousine and pickup - after non-b visa expires, just start using PE visa again which is still valid is this correct?
