Pheu Thai MP for Maha Sarakham province has sought police protection after he was allegedly assaulted by a fellow Pheu Thai MP in the office of party leader Sompong Amornvivat in the parliament compound this afternoon (Tuesday).

Mr. Yutthapong Charatsathien alleged that he was aggressively slapped on the head by Khon Kaen MP Nawat Dohcharoensook, and his two bodyguards allegedly restrained him allowing him to be attacked without being able to defend himself.

The incident took place in Mr. Sompong’s office in the presence of several senior party members, including Mr. Sompong, deputy leader Kriang Kalapatinan and Mr. Chusak Sirinil, the party’s chief legal advisor.

"he was aggressively slapped on the head by Khon Kaen MP Nawat Dohcharoensook, and his two bodyguards allegedly restrained him"

Old habits die hard 555.

Given the propensity of Thai politicians to change party allegiance at the drop of a hat, this is not how you ensure party loyalty.

Now what has the party leader done about this? Shown some leadership? ???? ???? Sorry I forgot where I was talking about.

He is lucky 5-10 MPs did not attack at the same time...

Handbags at 5 paces

The police will only protect you if you stop complaining about the junta.

Is there a nicer friendly way to slap someone on the head that could be found that also don't include sticks????

I think its cool when the elected monkeys go at it with fists and chairs. Does wonders for civility, like the next time AOC says something stupid, just walk over and bitch slap her until she curls up in a crying SJW ball. Like in the Taiwan parliament, she could wrestle with Tulsi Gabbard, hot.

I like the Brit Parliament. Lots of deep bass rumblings from the crowd during speeches, shouted comments like, "you filthy burggerr, "be silent you poof"...Speeches like " I expect our position lacks complication. However, the Right Honourable Member, while a true gentleman, is an idiot who couldnt unwrap a chip butty without help". "SHAME, SHAME mumumumumumumumrrrrmmrmrmrmrmrmrmrmrmr Shame!!!!!!"

yeh thats how to do it. Can you see DJT, orange head merkin just whipping around like some miscoloured alien octopus, grabbing Cryin Chuck by his pencil neck and just smashing him on the face screamin "eat knuckles" while Adam Schiff is just hanging on to Donnys rump sinking his teeth in? Yeah! Thats how we roll!

Personally, I think laws should be decided by throwing all of the elect naked in a locked room with runcible spoons, those who come out get their votes counted...hey Representative Insertnamehere, is that an eyeball ya got there? Good technique, you kept it whole. Repub or Democrat? Cool, you get a new library in your district

Things like that happen in criminal gangs...

Fancy needing bodyguards in Parliament!  And Thais cling to the belief that they are not a banana republic despite the drug running MP saying he has to feed bananas to some MPs to keep them in line.

I think he is jealous as the other MP has two bodyguards.

AOC vs Liz Chaney or Elise Stefanik.  But of course if you insist on the 'same' party as in this case, you're right. Line up Tulsi. Maybe she could she could slap some sense into A-OC.

And it would be interesting to know what exactly caused the violence.

Outstanding response.  Sounds like the US government from the late 1700's and 1800's when dueling was still permitted.

Naw dude its not about party or politcs, I am beyond those childish things...its about looks! Although Elise aint too bad, in a white bread sort of way. I like my women a bit more exotic.....like Tulsi, the dusky Island wench vs the sultriness of the hot blooded latina AOC....mmmmmmmmmmm...or Candace Owens vs that hot NRA girl? Yowsa!

Like would you want to see Liz Warren in gummi with strategic cut outs? Wash your mind from that one ye guttercrawlers.

Im so glad I am nobody, if I was somebody, they would boycott me!

Oh dude, the mere fact that one blathering mouthpiece would bitch slap the other with some kid gloves and then they would go outside and shoot high grade muzzleloading pistols at each other over honour warms the cackles of my hardened heart.

Give them all rapiers...or even better, Glocks. Keep the special elections coming!

And edit all of the above to remove something called party loyalty where it means they all have personal genuine alignment to some specific social policies.
