Anyone have experience of successfully obtaining a car driving licence, whilst on a Non Imm O-A (''Retirement") visa? Applicant already has an old expired Thai driving licence, plus a current valid licence from the home country...

yes i have   i went to the local DLT office inquired as to the procedure,  they advised me and i went ahead and followed the requirements  which they wrote down for me  received new licence  later that day

Sure you can get a Thai DL while staying on O-A.

"Home" is Canada.

Get a residency cert from immigration and a medical cert from a Dr and you book yourself into a course as your old Thai license has expired.
