Sorry if this is repeat content, but obviously require clarity and can't find other confirmation by search.

I just want to confirm I can extend my 30 day exempt entry on Canadian passport for an additional 30 days.

Also need to know what docs are required at chaeng wattana.

Thanks in advance.

You can apply for 30 day extension of the 30 day visa exempt entry,

You will need a completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 photo attached to it. Copies of your passport photo page, entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

For an extension of stay, IO will also check if a current TM30 has been filed from the place where you are staying.

If you are staying in a Hotel that requested to see your passport on checking-in, that normally means that they filed such a TM30. Immigration will check their TM30 database and if the Hotel's TM30 of your stay is there, then it's OK (and they won't ask you anything about it).

However, if the place where you are staying (e.g. at a friends / house of your girlfriend) did not file a TM30 of you staying there, you risk that your application will not be handled until the TM30 of your present place of stay is in.

To summarize:

- In case you are staying at a Hotel when applying for your extension of stay > don't worry because should be OK

- In case you stayed elsewhere, bring a copy of the house-book of the place where you are staying as well as a signed front-back copy of the ID-card of the owner.  That would allow to do the TM30 on the spot and not having to return later.  However, you will most likely be fined for not having been reported.
