Pleasant Valley Golf Course - Staff Laying Around?

Featured Replies

Played Pleasant Valley G.C. yesterday, no rain, course somewhat soggy but challenging layout.

Upon finishing returned to locker room to shower and change. Inside door of locker room there is a couch with a guy stretched out sleeping.

Looked to the benches along the window wall - they were all taken with guys lying with shoes off playing with or listening with ear buds to their phones.

So nowhere to sit down and take off shoes etc. Motioned to guy on bench closest to my locker, I wanted to sit down, he just went back to playing with his phone without moving. If this is the way Pleasant Valley staff allows their customers to be treated - we won't be back.

So what did you do?

Did you complain after this to management?

Never had an issue like this when playing there - or anywhere else.......

I hope you tipped them. Many clubs have the same thing. How often do you see greenkeepers hard at work at any club.

I complained at Pattavia once, the showers were consistently dirty and half of them broken and no hot water. I went to see the manager, he said sorry sorry sorry, then went back to sleep

if you're not going to patronise establishments in thailand where employees decide that taking a nap is a normal part of the working day then you're going to save a lot of money.

Yes I went into Booking office where I checked in to find it was unmanned (actually unwomanned).
