Hi,

Two questions.

1. If arriving by land to Thailand how long can the 30 day visa free exemption be extended for and what is the price?

2. If arriving by air to Thailand how long can the 30 day visa free exemption be extended for and what is the price?

I have a Swedish passport.

A 30 day extension can be applied for a visa exempt entry obtained by land or air at a immigration office.

The fee is 1900 baht.

That's what I remember too. But this website shows up pretty high in the results when googling about it:

https://onestep4ward.com/extend-thai-visa-bangkok/

Quote:

"If you have a standard 14 day or 30 day visa (one you got on arrival  by land or air into Thailand), then you can extend your visa for a maximum of 7 days only. It costs 1900 baht ($60)."

So I started thinking, what's this? Is he referring to the 30 day visa exemption? I always thought that could be extended for 30 days but he says 7 days only.

But you guys are sure it can be extended for 30 days?

You are quoting an article from 2011, things have changed.

Just some old out of date info.

The 30 day extensions have been allowed since August of 2014.

The 15 day entries ended in January of 2017 when the 2 entries at land borders per calendar year rule went into effect.
