SteveK
Hi, In next few weeks I will be submitting documents to the Ubon office for my first extension of stay based on marriage. I am a bit stuck on this Kor Ror 2. Can anyone explain what this is? I see someone said it's some kind of registration certificate but if I have my original marriage certificate, why exactly is this needed as well? How do I go about obtaining it, is it something that takes a few days or is it issued immediately? Do I really need it? Thanks in advance.
Popular Post ubonjoe
It is a Kor Ror 2 marriage registry. It is can be 2 or 3 pages long. Your wife can request a print out of it at any Amphoe by showing her ID card, completing a form and paying a 20 baht fee. This is the top of the first page that has the number of it in Thai. Immigration here will certainly want one. My wife gets a updated one every year that is stamped and dated by the Amphoe. The most recent one took about 15 minutes for her to get it. 3
Mattd
Further to UJs reply, the reason they need this is to prove that you are still married and not just using an old marriage certificate for reason of extending.

I was t told by the IO that the statement had to be done on the same day. I was told 4 photos of wife and kids, not in bedroom, outside, garden and living room. Think of it as a fun day out, like Thais do.

Map to the house from nearest main road or intersection. All copies must be signed. Wife's ID and house book signed by her. We sign everything before going to the office then the officer does a stamp over them. Photos for the TM7 forms need to be 4 X 6 cm (or 2 X 2 inch).
