CHONBURI(NNT) - The ’’Taste, Shop, Spend’’ campaign, launched two weeks ago, has remained popular with shoppers. Finance Minister Uttama Savanayana, this week visited Nong Mon market in Chonburi. He inspected the use of Application ’’Pao Tang’’ and found the people were very satisfied with it and responding positively.

The Finance Minister visited Nong Mon market and found those who have registered for the ’’Taste, Shop, Spend’’ campaign happy about the many merchandise stores, souvenir shops and community shops participating. Tourists have spent more money, increasing sales 30-40%. Vendors are pleased at the level of buyer interest, and called for Phase 2 of the campaign.

The Finance Minister commented today that the campaign’s Phase One is scheduled to end on November 30. He will consult with relevant agencies on whether the scheme should be extended to Phase 2 in November and December and confirmed economic stimulus measures will be introduced regularly until early next year.

The number of people who have registered for a 1,000 baht grant for domestic spending in the campaign has not yet reached the 10 million mark as provided for. Those interested can register until November 15.

Those people who cannot verify their identity in a facial scan via Application Pao Tang, can do so at over 170 Krung Thai Bank branches nationwide. This weekend, on both Saturday and Sunday, several branches are open from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. For more information, please visit www.ktb.co.th
