Hey! So... I had my previous tm.30 receipt. But it was lost when my stuff was misplaced. Either may have been mistakenly given in a document to the immigration under the piles of paper or lost under more stacks. Either way, its gone now. Will I have to pay a fine if I re-register myself for tm.30? Or do I have to prepare some elaborate story to explain how I lost my tm.30 receipt? Or should I make a police report? its just the receipt, nothing else.

I wouldn't do anything. It's unlikely anyone will ask to see the receipt. As long as you've made the report you've complied with the law.

Take and keep a photo of your receipt. My landlord filed my most recent TM30 and sent me a photo of the receipt. I printed that and submitted it along with my other documents for my application for a 1 year extension. No different than someone submitting a screenshot of their online filing. It all in the computer though.
