TC 90 is now Tropical Depression 25W (Nakri)

There will be a large amount of rain fall on the coast of Vietnam.

The storm at this time on windy.com is forecast to travel very near to Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Buriram areas by Tuesday 12/11. However the rainfall amounts will have dropped significantly.

well there maybe little rain by the time it reaches Thailand, but these low pressure systems draw moisture from all directions so it is hard to say what will happen.

Just had rain finish here in Pattaya. A quick sharp downpour probably lasted 40 minutes or so.

No thunder just went a bit grey and then started.

Sun back out although sky is still looking like more may come.......

Good job "Halong", in the upper right of the second image in the OP, which is now a super typhoon, isn't projected to make landfall.  It's one of the biggest storms ever recorded by a weather satellite, with winds estimated at 300+ km/hr

Without making any comment on why, it seems that bigger storms are increasingly becoming more common.

As to the prospect of rain next week, I normally welcome any rainfall, but due to the late arrival of the wet season, and subsequent delay in planting, there is still a lot of unripe rice in the fields in Buriram and Surin.  A lot of it is already lying in water, so let's hope the meagre livelihoods of thousands of people isn't further ruined.
