Hot head "Swede" takes it out on the only ATM in the village!

 

Temporarily out of order due to damage

 

Banmuang reported that villagers in Non Suwan, Buriram had experienced difficulties after a "farang hot head" bashed a BAAC ATM with his fist. 

 

The locals complained that the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives ATM was the only one in the village. A M6 student told them that the other nearest ATM was 20 kilometers away. 

 

He said that the ATM was damaged by a Swedish man. He is a 65 year old pensioner.

 

The media reported that the ATM was now back online, much to the relief of the locals. 

 

The bank told them that the man had arrived on a motorcycle with his wife. 

 

The police said that they are waiting for further details before proceeding due to some confusion about the ownership of the machine that is outside a shop. 

 

Banmuang reported that the foreigner responsible had attacked the machine before though no charges were made. 

 

They said that the CCTV evidence was irrefutable. 

 

More news about the alleged "Swede ATM Hot Head" as we hear of it.

Well it was either the ATM getting it or the wife, and the ATM lost...

So he has done it before, properly pension running late and the poor ATM machine is feeling his anger.

The only ATM in the village, probably the only Swede within a hundred miles of it and a repeat offender... I can think of a verb way more appropriate than 'hot head'.

And ofcourse Oud or the PM will hear about this and make it more bad for the Caucasians. 

Somebody should explain the Swede that destroying the ATM machine is not doing him any favours.

Perhaps he got upset because of the bad exchange rate.

Special ATM´s for foreigners nationwide before 31 dec 2019.

 

Only ATM´s for foreigners at bank branches and 7-11´s.

 

Before you can take out money, you will first present your passport, together with a signed copy of the first page, and they will turn on the machine for you to allow each withdrawal. Only one withdrawal per 24 hour.

And all this for a "HotHead Swede".

Oh come on now. You're giving one arguably off-his-meds, old Swede in Buriram way, way to much influence here. Note he's a repeat offender and nobody said anything the last time. The Thai people and institutions are amazingly benign and acquiescent when it comes to random acts of dip<deleted>tery by foreigners, especially those living off the beaten track but mostly they come down like a ton of bricks on the proper bad ones.

Was getting grieve from the wife as the "brother" was moaning about the pick up truck payment being late...

Before we are even allowed to do that, for each withdraw, they want to see a TM 47 for Aliens, proof of that you can still satisfy your wife and a TM 30 form.

Any particular reason for the quotation marks around "Swede" in the topic title? Is it a way of telling us that he was, perhaps, of African descent or a Koran-toting Middle Easterner?
