Family holiday suggestion

Featured Replies

I have been asked by friends in Australia for suggestions for a place to go for a holiday in January. The parents are about 60 and there are 3 children from 16 to 28 and I presume they would stay in a resort and would stay for 2-3 weeks. So far some suggestions from them are Phuket, Samui and Krabi which might be the only places they have heard of.I wouldn't like to recommend any of these as they don't appeal to me.Could some members please suggest a few other places my friends would like. Thanks a lot

Personally I would stay off the typical tourist resort trail.

Would be better if you had an idea of what they want to do/like etc. Some like beaches, some dodnt, some prefer touring and mountains etc. There isnt really a one size fits all, you need to narrow the field a little first.

For all its woes...Pattaya has so many attractions compared to the rest of Thailand...they would enjoy it

There's no better place than Tasmania...

One week at least, make Chiang Rai your base. Travel up to the Golden Triangle area. See the real Thailand.

If they're from Tassie, they won't need to pack for cold weather either.
