Visa Options? Nearly finished 2nd Non-O based on marriage

Hello, I'm wondering what visa options I have. Here's some info about myself:

• I'm on the last leg of my 2nd 1 year Non-O visa based on marriage, both issued in Savannakhet, Laos
• 29 year old Canadian male married to a Thai national
• My wife and I have a 2 year old daughter
• I just received a new passport because my last one had no pages left. My Thai visa is in my old passport
• I do not have 400k baht in a Thai bank

 

Some questions I have about the visa:

• Can I get a 1 year extension of stay for my current Non-O visa? My new passport does not have the Thai visa in it
• Will there be any issues if I apply for a 3rd Non-O visa in Savannakhet?

If you were able to to apply for a extension of stay immigration would do a annotation about your non-o visa in the old passport in the new one.

You can apply for a new non-o visa in Savannakhet without a problem.

Not without 400K in the bank; or an income of 40K pm confirmed by the Canadian embassy.

Not as things stand.

 

Should your financial situation change you can apply for a 1 year extension at the end of any 90 day stay issued from entry with the ME Non O visa.

 

Note: As you are a parent some office (under the extension rules) only insist the 400K is in the account on the day you apply (no 2 month seasoning). They might, however, insist the funds stay in bank during the 30 day under consideration period. They also don't require proof of where the funds come from.
