splorff
I'm hoping to be in Patong at low season sometime. I'm interested in hotels offering wi-fi in the 600- 1000 baht price range. Happy to pay more for a nice pool and tropical garden. Info on bars with wi-fi also useful. But the hotel is the main issue. Somewhere like the expat /neptuna/green view, would be just fine, but I can find no reference to wi-fi at their sites.
thaigerd
Mai Thai Bar Soi Eric, Patong Beach. I wonder if this was the first beer bar in Thailand to provide wi-fi access free? Pop in and say hello to the friendly owner Nicke and surf the net for free. Just expect all of the xxxxxx in the area to want to check their email while you're there! Personally, I'm not so sure that beers and surfing the net on your own laptop mix, but it is still great that it is offered. Burisiri Resort Patong Beach. It's complimentary, presumably intended for guests only, and they have wireless cards at reception if your laptop does not have wi-fi built in, which is a nice touch. There is no password required. IgnacioE
Try Crow's Nest on Soi Seadragon; it's on the right side about 3/4 the way down the soi. The manager, Steve, is security conscious also so you're not going out on the Internet buck naked and totally exposed.
