Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin Junior Team Event & Faldo Series Qualifier December 2019

Hua Hin, — Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin will break new ground in Junior Golf in Thailand in the next month, when it serves as host property for The Inaugural Junior Team Trophy & Faldo Series Qualifying Event to be held at Banyan GC between 5-7 December 2019.

This major Junior Event is one of a series of three Qualifiers being held in conjunction with International Schools throughout Thailand. The Faldo Series is one of the most prestigious Junior events in the World & is recognized as the only Global amateur series for girls & boys. The Faldo Series (named after founder & 6-time Major Champion, Sir Nick Faldo) was established in 1996 & expanded to Asia in 2006. 

This is the first time a Faldo Series Event has been held in Hua Hin, Thailand.  Asian qualifiers will also be taking place in China, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Nepal, Malaysia, Taipei, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore & New Zealand.

In addition to earning qualifying points towards the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final to be held in Laguna, Lang Co, Vietnam in March 2020. Players will also be competing for the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Junior Team Trophy. Over 100 top junior golfers are expected to take part.

The Event will be managed by teams from Golf Development Asia & Fore Management, both Bangkok based management companies & Siam PGA Holidays, locally based in Hua Hin. The 36-hole stroke play tournament unfolds amid the rolling green hills of coastal Thailand at the elegant Banyan Golf Club Hua Hin. Banyan’s championship golf course and iconic clubhouse has regularly been named by Asian Golf as one of the region’s best golf clubs, and the course itself has been featured in Rolex’s list of the top 1,000 courses in the world.
