Requirements to sell condo

Does one need a current residency visa such as a retirement Visa in order to sell your condo? In other words if our visa expires will this cause a problem with the sale?

No, you do not need a long term visa or extension of stay.

 

You do, of course, need to be in the country legally.

   Actually, you don't need to be in the country to sell your condo. You can use power of attorney.

A visa expiration is comparatively meaningless. If you want to sell a condo while you are legally present in the country, you need to have a valid, unexpired permission to stay or extension of your permission to stay given you by immigrations. Many people have stayed in Thailand for many years after the visa they first used had expired.

 

If you remain in the country once your permission to stay or extension of that permission to stay expires then you'll have more problems than just trying to sell a condo.
