Income statement/verification for Norway/Norwegian

Searching revealed a few hits but not really sure what the current status is.

It's a friend of a friend question for a Norwegian guy in Chaiyaphum.

As I understand he has the necessary income/pension for a one year extension.

But, does Norwegian embassy/consulate in Bangkok or other Norwegian consulates issue income statements?

Any current experience?

 

He is in the process of getting married but does not have the papers ready (different topic).

As far as I know the still do a proof of income that immigration will want.
