My sister sent me a Christmas card to my condo in Chiangrai but it hasn’t arrived. She just wrote my address and unit number and attached the necessary postage to the envelope. There is nothing of value inside, just a couple photos of family and a hand written letter. Would it be dropped in my mail slot or is it likely being held for pick up at the post office? Thanks. 

When was it sent ? By what method ?

 

The most common issue with delivery errors/delays is the local postman.

 

Give more info, may get better advice.

Hi thanks for replying. It was sent around December 10th by snail mail. She said she wrote my address, room number and postal code to the apartment I rent. 

I don't know if mail from the US should be faster than Germany, but when i got a snail mail letter from Germany it took arround 4 weeks.

It should be delivered into your mail box.

I received 2 letters mailed from the IRS Processing Center in Texas and it took 6 weeks.  

4 weeks is average for snail mail standard, at Christmas with excess volumes, probably 6-8 weeks.

I had a xmas card sent early December uk -Rai once

it arrived early March via a detour to Malaysia !

and they pre-opened it for me too- kind souls ????
