There is also no visa exempt in the Thai immigration law. But there is a ministerial order for the visa exempt, and also for the ticket out requirement.

    The airline might require the flight out but immigration seldom asks to see it. You can buy a low cost one way flight to any nearby country from any airport here to show and not use it.

Everyone that answered I appologize for the late replays  I have bben working remotely without internet. Thanks for the info, much as I thought. I have never been asked to produce an onward ticket before but will buy one just incase.
