Biometrics success! Vietnamese woman not who she said she was

INN reported that a Vietnamese woman tried to trick the Thai authorities into believing she was someone else during the busy New Year period at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The lady was holding a passport in a Vietnamese name and had an Alien Residence permit card issued in Poland but check-in staff noticed irregularities in the pictures.

When immigration's biometrics tech got to work she was found to be someone else.

She entered Thailand on the 30th for one night and was planning on going to work in Germany after travelling via Amsterdam.

And, hear hear, a person in transit to a third country ????

And it took all their "biometrics" to spot that the pictures were different.

When I went through immo at Vientian last week I took one look at the finger print machine where you scan your fingers and thought if you want to spread some lovely diseases from other parts of the world then there's the place to start.it was filthy.

i was going to ask immo man if he had any disinfectant wipes but I know his answer would of been.your not smart and your not coming back in.

bio metrics, more like bio hazard if you ask me.

So she was only staying in BKK for a night before catching her main flight to europe.

They didn’t catch a bad foreigner who was going to be bad in Thailand.

Maybe they didn't wipe their <deleted> with their hand?  What about all the other things that you touch every day but don't concern yourself about or did you just want to have a go at Thai IB?

Reading the news story it would seem that the Vietnamese woman entered Thailand on the 30th, obviously managing to bypass the Thai Immigration biometric checks but was then caught out by airline check-in staff suspicious of her documents the next day when intending to leave Thailand.

So not caught out by biometrics? Not even by Immigration?
