Thanks. Didn't even know this existed.

Sounds like it. To add to it, you get charged an annual fee for a debit card PLUS you have to pay the issuing fee (my newest card was 700 thb..)

May I ask what K-Bank card you have that cost 700 baht?

My new contactless chip-card, the K-Debit VISA have a card fee of 50 baht and the annual fee is 250 baht. Did you especially ask for your card or did they offer you the card without mentioning the fees?

In this PDF you have all fees at K-Bank.

I opened account at BKK bank in Tesco and replaced ATM there.

I guess they cancelled your old card and then issued a new one. That's the only way to do it unless you want to keep the old one.

I updated my scb card today in a different province but still linked to original.

It took 3 times as long for the call centre to adjust the limits than issuing the card itself.

I'm glad i didn't walk away till it was sorted.

Not sure how new it is but you can now have up to 500,000 daily limit

With Kasikorn you can change the card limits from the mobile app.
