The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) closed at 1,580.63 on Friday (January 10) for an increase of 0.99 point and 0.06 per cent over the previous day.

The daily trade volume was Bt52.033 billion, with an index high of 1,584.16 and a low of 1,573.80.

Tisco Financial Group on Friday credited the SET’s recovery to progress being made on a trade deal between the United States and China and a relaxation of tensions between the US and Iran.

Tisco analysts expect the SET index to continue rising now that fears of a US-Iran war have abated.

Elsewhere in Asia, Japan’s Nikkei Index closed at 23,850.57, up from 23,739.90 on Thursday, or 0.47 per cent.

China’s Shanghai SE Composite Index closed at 3,092.29, down 0.02 per cent from 3,094.88.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index closed at 28,638.20, a rise from 28,561 or 0.27 per cent day-on-day. South Korea’s KOSPI Index closed at 2,206.39, increasing 19.94 points or 0.91 per cent.

not in Bangkok they aren't :annoyed:

When you have surface winds, smog mixes with fresher air, to mitigate the dangerous breathing conditions.  Politicians can often supply such hot wind.

As the world turns, not breathes easier. As if the SET made any difference.
