Bangkok is preparing a shuttle bus service as a feeder to transport people to their main transport routes due to lack of service from the private sector.

Panurak Klunnurak, director of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)’s Traffic and Transport Department, said the city authority has prepared a trial shuttle bus service as a secondary feeder to transfer people to their main transport destinations.

The shuttle bus trial for the first three routes are:

1 The Southern Bus Terminal Bangkok (Sai Tai Mai), Taling Chan District to Bang Wa BTS Station

2 BMA City Hall 2, Din Daeng to Sanam Pao BTS Station

3 Romklao Community to Airport Rail Link Lat Krabang Station

The BMA is in discussions with the private sector to specify the details of the bus services on the three routes, including routes, stops and passengers, the frequency of the appropriate cycle at various times which will not cause traffic problems including the preparation of a memorandum of agreement between Bangkok and the private sector for project implementation to maximise the benefits for the people.

He added that the route of the shuttle bus service would mainly focus on enabling people to reach the mass rapid transit system.

Therefore, the routes that are specified would avoid overlapping with the main bus routes and song taew services.

In addition, the shuttle bus is a specific stop that is not related to a traditional bus stop. There will be a stop-point for passengers only from the point of origin, such as communities, various government offices, and destinations, including Skytrain stations.

During the trial period, passenger data will be collected from both the point of origin and destination as well as from the satisfaction assessment forms and suggestions from users to be used as a database for project implementation in order to expand the route to cover the use of public services.

Airport Rail Link Lat Krabang Station... great service ... get off there once .... no TAXI driver to be seen for 30 minutes !!!!!!!!

Walk 70m to the frontage road and they go past there all the time, that really shouldn't have been so hard to work out.

And I don't think you had enough exclamation marks in your post.
