webfact
Arrest warrant issued for Palang Pracharat MP Waipote Arpornrat The Pattaya Provincial Court today issued a warrant for the arrest of Palang Pracharat MP Pol Lt-Col Waipote Arpornrat, following his failure to appear at the court to a hear the Supreme Court verdict related to the premature shutdown, by red-shirt protesters, of the ASEAN Summit at the Royal Cliff Hotel in Pattaya in April 2009. Despite the absence of Waipote, who was represented by his lawyer, the court read the verdict, which found the former red-shirt core member guilty and sentenced him to four years in prison without suspension. He was also fined 200 baht. The arrest warrant is the second issued for Waipote. The first was issued on December 3rd after he failed to report to hear the verdict. CelticBhoy
"He was also fined 200 baht." How degrading. For someone who was a police Lt-Col they are belittling him somewhat here. Talk about a "loss of face." He'll be feeling that one, methinks.

How about arresting him and bringing him forcefully to court for the next one 1

That'll learn him He should look at the cases of Suthep and Sondhi - the greenshirts throw all other shirts and assorted useful idiots under the bus when they get their way. As they have the guns and therefore the power.
madmitch
The police could just wait until there's another important parliamentary vote as he might try to sneak into Parliament, just like he did last month. Probably better to let him cast his vote first though and get him on the way out, otherwise Prayuth might get upset
