DUI foundation and the body snatchers urge government to get real on road carnage

Thailand's Don't Drive Drunk Foundation and Poh Teck Tung - one of the most famous organizations that picks up dead bodies at accident scenes - have called for more government action on the appalling carnage on Thai roads.

The organisations were among others presenting donations and calling for action to mark Chinese New Year.

Secretary of the DDDF Thaejing Siripanich said that Chinese New Year was a particularly deadly time on Thai roads.

He compared it to the western New Year, Songkran and Loy Krathong.

His organization and Poh Teck Tung say they are the ones who - sometimes literally - pick up the pieces of ineffective government action concerning the Thai roads that have been named as some of the most deadly in the world.

Essentially they want more action and less talk.

Getting a 100 points before you lose your license, just goes to

show how serious the Government are in improving the driving

standards of Thai drivers, and hopefully the carnage and death toll.

This is not the moment ; it will wait ...
For the moment it's the war against smoke
and also a little war to ask China for water

without forgetting the war against the deadly thing that arrives from China by air ...

Prevention Routiere will wait a little or more or even never ...

In fact, no road in the world is deadly;
on the other hand it is its users who die there because they do not know how to drive and even less to be responsible, to think of the other, to know how to share a common good,

They want more action. Thailand is doing its best, they have almost the most road deaths of any other country what more can they do, being number one from now on is just a matter of luck.

Body snatchers. Not the first time I heard it, but still as accurate as ever. You could probably add "Flying" thanks to their pickups with intercoolers the size of a house in front. First on to hit the scene wins the loot.

Hopeless

Body  snatchers?  Do road fatalities vanish?  100 points?  How many point for each dui?

Don't recall any road that has ever killed anyone. Hard to imagine a layer of tarmac/bitumen killing anyone.

It does when a helmet less head comes off a bike and smashed into it ????
