  • Nobody negatively affects the public's confidence in the performance of the RTP or their reputation. Some people merely confirm what everyone already knows.

A Lt Col is the deputy national police chief? Really????

Typo,

You can see by the uniform he is wearing he is a Lt. General three star.

Demotion to corporal with the resulting pay cut would be a real kick in the gonads.   This is xchanging one desk for another.

According to the transfer order, Pol Gen Veerachai was accused by the Royal Thai Police of conduct deemed to negatively affect the public’s confidence in the performance of the duty to uphold justice and the image of the Royal Thai Police, causing damage to the police force.

How is being transferred to an inactive post with full salary still being paid even remotely resemble being axed? Except for the slight loss of face, these two guys are living out their best case scenario.

What about the 95% pay decrease?

Inactive post translates as no longer able to enjoy any part of the 'donations' so generously given by businesses or the public to the police tea fund. Which in turn translates as a reduction in income and the resulting need to downgrade from a Merc to a Honda.

The PM's office will soon be full of demoted cops .....555.

Somebody's been a bit too greedy.

Altogether now "He is the very model of a modern major general" 5555????????????????????????

Since one of the two is going to the PM's office at least temporarily, it sounds more like he might be sharing a neighboring desk with that of BJ -- assuming that either of them actually show up to work every day...

It's all because of what happened over Big Joke and the subsequent shenanigans.

so when are they going to sack 99% of the police force then,  need some western cops in there that will sort them out,  ha ha

What is the first rank in the RTP? There are that many fancy ranks. Is it Constable, Officer, Private or what?

Surely they cannot be held responsible for the many inadequates of the RTP. Is it not up to all the fancy Generals and all these other guys with the fancy ranks to make sure their officers or whatever they are called, do their jobs properly instead of playing with the traffic light systems etc?

Bring in the Clockwork Orange  gang, that would sort it out.  No actually

sounds like someone got ticked off, somewhere.

Geezer

They will soon be needing a whole building, not just an office. ????

..sorry, but it's the lads and gals in brown uniforms, shiny wings or laurel leaves pinned all over, either in the street, a patrol car or behind a govt. office counter being rude or making  life hell for Mr and Missus "anybody", who rather vector a disastrous image......somebody did not get his/her brown enveloppe perhaps....

Police salaries are a pittance.

Being moved to an inactive post means they are locked out of the corruption pyramid, which is the big earner.

The base salary isn’t that great. It’s the brown envelopes where you really make your money. And now that’s over for him.

Beat me to it.

They miss out on the brown envelopes, which are probably 100x more than their salary.

Beaten by you two guys.

I really hope one or all of these chickens fly the PM’s coop and sticks it to the man. They are definitely hiding something and perhaps some big people on the crony farm have been eating a big piece of that corrupt pie. Maybe even you know who himself.

As is the case with all civil or Thai public servants who come under any form of investigation.

Pol Lt Col Wirachai Songmetta, the deputy national police chief......

Ha ha. The poor man is demoted by the reporters even as he is transferred....

It remains Hua Mark police officers many of them here needs to transfer as well, I think that is a good idea to not allowed them to stay very long on a station before changing them

Look and monitor Hua Mark police officer too

It’s shocking just how easily all these big shots are getting demoted.

Are deputy national police chiefs Lieutenant Colonels or LT  Generals? This guy in the picture appears to be wearing the rank of General.

'Five Sukhothai cops shifted after pub raid

Five cops demoted after pub raid

Chumphon police shifted after Halloween pub raids'

I culled these headlines from the BKK Post this morning.

Is this the police force they are talking about which is having its reputation besmirched?

Loss of face is immaterial, loss of revenue, that will hurt him!

I'd imagine it'd hurt a lot worse if they had loss of past revenue. ????
