I have a multi trip one, and have always left the country to renew my 90 days. Can I do one of the local check ins with this visa? Is online working?

Many thanks.

If you have a multiple entry non-o visa you have to leave the country every 90 days.

You can apply for a 60 day extension of each entry to visit your wife at a immigration office.

Can the extension work if my wife is in Thailand?

Of course you can. She has to be with you when you apply.

Any chance you could send a link to the form?

You use a TM7 form that is used for all extensions of stay.  Fillable TM7 form.pdf

You will need need your marriage certificate and a copy of it, copies of your wifes house book registry and ID card. The fee is 1900 baht.

You wrote family so I assumed you were married

You will need to have your son's birth certificate and his house book registry and ID card if he is old enough to get one (7 years). He will also need to be with you when you apply.

You can apply for the extension up to 2 weeks before your current entry ends.
