Chinese-language interpreters needed to interview arriving Chinese tourists

Thailand’s Department of Disease Control is recruiting Chinese-language interpreters to help interview tourists arriving at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang and U-tapao international airports from risk areas.

Government deputy spokeswoman Ms. Traisulee Traisoranakul said today (Sunday) that the interpreters will work closely with officials from the Department of Disease Control in screening arriving Chinese tourists, to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Thailand.

She assured that the interpreters will be provided with protective gear, such as N95 face masks and PPE gowns, and taught how to use them properly to protect themselves adding, however, that interviews with tourists will normally be conducted over an intercom, except in exceptional circumstances.

I don't think there will be many volunteers to chit chat with Chinese visitors coming off the plane ... safer to volunteer at the Leprosy hospital !!

No ! No ! Money first :post-4641-1156693976:

A responsible government that cares about the health of its people would have closed all international airports for several days.
Not only prevents flights from China but all flights arriving from anywhere on this earth.
Contain the whole country; whatever the cost of this measure.

DiD the article say volunteer?  No it says 30-45 yrs old 12 hour shifts  5000baht/ day
