An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. So Thailand should forthwith suspend regular visa issuance to Israelis, except for special exceptions to be judged from a comprehensive application process to the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv. Yes, there are Chinese and Russians and Indians violating laws of the land here. But there is only one state in the world where it is a national art form to seize, occupy and settle illegally, and protestations thereof are met with vehement cries of victimhood. Thailand is already finding this out the hard way. Heck, you can see a sample of the pearl-clutching outrage right here in AN. Economic consequences? Not particularly significant: YTD visitors here by nationality. Source: China 3,000,000+ Malaysia 2,300,000+ India 1,300,000+ Russia 1,000,000+ ... Israel 220.000+ Screams of discrimination? F it and point south: Israelis can't get visas to Malaysia. Thailand will be in good company.
