Roi Et province sets master plan to become tourism center

Roi Et province is developing the Bueng Kluer (บึงเกลือ) area, more commonly known as the Ee Saan Ocean, to become an important tourism location.

The Governor of Roi Et province, Mr. Pinich Pichayakhan (พินิจ พิชยกัลป), hosted a meeting with leading provincial and local officials to discuss scenic development measures aimed at the Bueng Kluer (บึงเกลือ) area. Mr. Pinich said that Bueng Kluer had the potential to be an important tourism location that can draw large numbers of travelers from surrounding provinces.

The Governor of Roi Et province revised a master plan proposed by the Facultry of Architecture of Khon Kaen University in 1999. Mr. Pinich said that the Bueng Kluer area would become an eco tourism and conservation site, and would be beautified by the provincial irrigation and local administrative organization offices. The scenic improvement plan also fell under projects planned to honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 80th Cycle Birthday.

Bueng Kluer covers 7,500 hectares, and a 1 kilometer stretch of sandy and sparkling beaches and is well suited for vacationing families.
