Has anyone ever looked at any of the videos taken by the resident you tubers living in Thailand. 2 examples that are using secret cameras filming people without consent are: Thailand red and Bangkok love. 
 

I think it’s an invasion of a thai girl’s privacy to be filmed without consent like this. Not to mention all the farang being filmed with their P4P girls

Right or wrong it's a fact of life these days, there are cameras everywhere, most have them in phones and CCTV increasing everywhere. Stores etc it's as natural as a light fitting.

 

Bottom line, is assume it's happening and behave accordingly, or as I do, simply ignore it as I ain't doing anything worth filming to start with ????????

look on the bright side at least they aren't filming old codgers whinging in bars..

Youtube have demonetized most adult themed videos and if you think they are excessively intrusive and voyeuristic you can always report them . The three dots on the side of the video allows the report function. There then is sexual content but without nudity you can add comments as you feel fit. If there are enough reports YT may well age restrict the videos / give the channel a strike or more strikes. If he stops making money he will probably move onto something more wholesome.

I am sure if they do that too often and/or for too long there will be consequences. Lots of people don't like it and it's so easy to fall down and get injured in these dangerous streets.

The problem is with the current trend of live streaming on YouTube. No chance of objecting to it, it's already out there. I realise that in today's world cameras are everywhere but I expect some privacy when sat in a closed bar. It's a private place and as such is illegal to film.

 

The most notorious Pattaya YouTuber, currently, is Barfines & Powerlines, (henceforth referred to as the fat four eyed ginger Tyke) who will livestream in closed bars whether the customers object or not. Done it a couple of times in Nightwish bars. Complain to management? Not a chance, he's sponsord by Nightwish and wears their T Shirts when making videos. They obviously regard him as good publicity for their bars.

 

These people, due to them being constantly reported, do have their accounts suspended but just create a new account with a similar name. You can't win.

 

It's becoming more of a plague than coronavirus in Pattaya.

If the youtuber is generating income from the videos then they need to get a signed waver from the 'models / actors' if they can be identified in the video. Someone with deep pockets could send a cease and desist letter to the owner and see how it goes.

Alternatively you could simply watch CNN instead of YouTube.

And giving these youtubers money doesn't help.

Nobody asks anymore if they can video you or not, they just do it.

Media consumption is what drives production. Having a thread naming the producers will actually increase production because more eyes are going to it. 

 

by watching their videos you are encouraging them and contributing to them financially. i've looked at the occasional youtuber and found little of interest. maybe, thankfully, i have enough in my life not to to need youtube...

I've had a look in the interests of 'research' if you no doubt like this stuff it's 'well done'. More pornhub than youtube though or so I've been told.

Only illegal if you camera person enters private property and films without consent. 

If camera person is on public access roads and public sidewalks it is legal.

Turn away or take your lady inside and out of view of the sidewalks if it bothers you.

But some have cameras so perfectly hidden that they will unlikely be caught.

I read about a well known hidden cam artist being caught filming on the premises of Nana Plaza:

A girl saw her image in a video.

She remembered exactly which day she wore the dress shown.

NaNa management went through tons of THEIR video recordings and identified the culprit. On his next "visit" he got a clear message and banned for lifetime from the premises.

But that's an extraordinary case.

Don't expect to be hidden from cams on WS, Soi 6, Nana etc.

It's like a video diary. Flooded.

Boring. You need to go inside closed bars (ahem....brothels) and get some action shots of old boys cheating on their missus. You might get some panic subscribers then.

cant say much about filming in public, but i have a problem with hidden filming.
your filming and posting people who dont know they are being filmed, and any laws aside that just aint cool.

if you cant have the camera out so people have the option of either knowing what your doing or kicking your ass, you should not be filming, and especially not posting it.

some bloke keeps going into thermae in bangkok with these hidden cams and posting on youtube. that aint cool.

these youtubers are totally disgusting.

 

they surf on the same wave as the British voyeurist gutter press, the "politically correct" cockblockers and mainstream social media. Eventually they contribute in killing off the last patches of diversity.

I was sitting in my hotel lobby in Thappraya road one morning around 8am having a coffee.

Suddenly this brit comes rushing down yelling at the top of his voice.

Apparently his wife had called from the Uk and the Thai man at the switchboard told

her....him not talk, him with lady....the woman divorced him over the phone.

He immediately ran up and came down 5 minutes later and hopped into a cab for the airport.

He's just arrived on a 2 week holiday the night before. They outed him ...and thats exactly what these

you tubers are doing.

 

Looking at this guys camera angles and where he hangs outside Flexx he couldn't be too hard to spot.

I owe anyone who gives him a beatdown a beer for sure.
