Passengers entering Cambodia through any one of the three international airports have all alleged that there are no visible screening facilities in the airports.

Khmer Times has been reporting on this for several days and yesterday, a senior Ministry of Health official, stationed at one of the airport, spoke up on conditions of anonymity on this. He says “We are stationed there from early morning to the last flights, in shifts but there are inadequate screening devices in the airports. I am saying this for all three airports, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville international airports.

“If there were such facilities, the 3,000 odd passengers who entered Cambodia from Wuhan before the lockdown would have been monitored and their locations recorded who tracking if needed. Although all cannot be recorded, even if 30 percent of the passengers were recorded, we could trace their location as many of them were travelling in groups,” the health officer said.
