Info required regarding passport expiry & visa

Hiya everyone 

so my 1 year Thai wife visa is expiring in March this year but my passport is expiring January 2021.. that means I’ll only have 10 months on my passport.. so if I apply for my visa extension now, how many months can I get the visa for ? 10 months or a year.. 

cause I’m case they’ll grant me a 10 month visa it’s better I get an extension on my passport before applying for the visa extension..

You extension would be issued to the date your passport expires if it has less than 12 months remaining.

You need to get a new passport before you apply for the extension.
