Trump's second term is going to be unbelievable. If those poor Dems thought it was bad this term, they aint seen anything yet.

Trump has united the GOP, except for Romney who will soon depart, and Trump has the highest ratings ever among Conservative voters for a GOP POTUS - even more than Reagan  The GOP was not united behind Trump when he started, and because of that the Dems won the House in mid-terms. After Trump is re-elected by a landslide in November, the GOP will control both House and Senate, and they will embark on a program of policies and changes that will transform America and not only undo all the Obama damage, but lock those changes in for decades to come.

Plus - Dems and all the Public Servants behind the fake FBI investigations, the Russia Hoax, and the partisan Impeachment, will all be Impeached and found guilty and sacked/charged. Never again will a POTUS have to go through what Trump has endured.

Forever a Fake Impeachment and Forever Not Guilty.

The worm has turned in both the UK and the US. The left is in its death throes.

  • It was a partisan impeachment and partisan trial. Democrats simply didn't make the case, despite rigging the impeachment as much as possible. So yes, of course it ended with an acquittal.

Judas Romney!

On the bright side maybe Romney should jump into the dem primary and be the voice of reason he is so clearly made out to be. A man with a conscious and a backbone. The dems could use a guy like that. I believe he can also count so he has that going for him as well.

The FISA Court abuse by FBI to investigate the Trump campaign was number 1.

The fake Russia Collusion was number 2.

The fake Kavanaugh accusations was number 3.

The fake Impeachment was number 4.

Trump and the GOP beat all of them and the Dems are going to pay big time.

It's nice to see you have moved on and now welcome elections. That's the spirit. That's how it should have been in the first place.

It's funny dems still choose to use the term deplorables which cost Hillary the election. Simply never willing to learn anything. The problem with the dems is they are becoming so despised that people would rather elect Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin or anybody but them.

The likability problem is a big factor for them. You could put anything on the table and it would be preferable to the venom, vitriol, self righteousness, that is now the dem party.

Yang is the only person the dems have that has the intellect and morality to rise above the toxic stew of the dem party. He is actually likable.

History will be written by the winners so I wouldn't be so certain about it. Your smug is beginning to reek of desperation. Any conciliation you can reach for is what fills the void.

What happens in USA affects all western countries - including Australia. You will also see me active in posts about Brexit.  And about what is happenning in Europe. And about what is happening in Thailand.  But I agree the USA 'show' has been very entertaining lately - the Dems are such clowns.

Absolutely correct - the history of US politics is written by the winners and they are the GOP - for a long long time.

But putting politics aside - the best thing that could happen to American politics is that the Dems are completely and utterly destroyed at the next election.  Because after that, then the Dems might actually realise that they are wrong and have to change and they will then rebuild their Party.

I knew Romney would suddenly be considered a hero and some great guy to look up to. Same with Bolton considered to be stark raving mad and evil until suddenly they are tossed in the same boat as the dems. Utterly hilarious.

Anyway it's over now and Trump is surging and more popular than he has ever been. Was all this really worth it?

SURGE? Realy FAKE NEWS. Prove it! The gallup: Look it up in Gallup the 92% uptick of 3% is only Republican. His Democratic suport is 8%. Republicans are now just trump cultist.

The acquittal along party lines is expected but unlike the Clinton trial which was conducted in a way that struck all sides as fair and even increased public respect for Congress, Mitch and his senators have caused more division, seen as unfair and diminished public respect for congress.

Bill subsequently apologized to the American people in a speech after his acquittal. That was class. Meanwhile Trump was unapologetic and post a divisive tweet and mock the impeachment and the Dems. If Susan Collin think that by acquitting Trump, his behavior will improve, she in for a huge disappointment. It wouldn’t be long before he commit another constitutional crime.

Anyone who thinks the Democratic Party is left wing doesn't understand politics at all.

I hope everyone enjoyed their democracy while it was available. Republicans have just handed Trump a mandate not just to do what he wants because he was already doing that to some extent, but a mandate to know do whatever he wants with absolutely no option for recourse.

There is an old saying " beware what you wish for because you just might get it." Well, Republicans have got it.

In 2012 the left viewed Romney as a racist misogynist. Now he's the most noble man ever.

Bill committed a crime. Trump didn't.

The second hand witnesses did just that, too.

Greatest thing Pelosi ever did to showcase the falicy of democracy. One man one vote goes to the ceazor that gives the best colloseum shows for free to those that cannot afford a ticket.

Those brave “second hand” witnesses formally charged and successfully impeached him on 2 articles. Obstruction and prohibition of first hand witnesses were required to seek clarity but alas the public was disappointed as that didn’t happen.

What does interest me a little bit is the guessing game going on as to whether Trump has ‘learned his lesson’ or not.

My personal prediction is that this will set him loose. We’re going to see Trump on steroids, totally emboldened, more full of himself than ever, convinced that he is for all intents and purposes a king who doesn’t have to answer to anyone. At least until November.

What part of "not guilty" was difficult for you to understand?

As I posted yesterday in another thread, the Democrats LOVE to play the game "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."  Unless those heroes decide to run for president (like McCain and Romney who were raked over the coals as candidates).  Democrats love these "mavericks" who betray their party and betray their voters/supporters; but they don't love their own mavericks like Manchin and Sinema and Jeff Van Drew.  Democrats only love independent thinkers who agree with them all the time.
