TheDark Posted February 8, 2020 Share Posted February 8, 2020 Madoff is asking for "compassionate release", while he never really showed compassion towards others. He was abusing the little guys for his own benefit and hunger for money and power. Madoff should stay in the prison, as an example, what happens to ones rest of life, if you abuse other people the way he did. While showing leniency towards other prisoners, who made stupid mistakes during distress is perfectly ok, showing leniency towards abusers of other people send a message 'it's ok to rip off common people.
