February 6, 20206 yr Hello, can anyone give me some advice on where to go to find a good proctologist on Koh Samui or Bangkok I've been to Bangkok Samui hospital on a number of occasions and met with 1 doctor, but I dont think he has the correct qualifications. I would like to speak with a qualified Proctologist to ensure I get the correct diagnoses. For the last 2 months I've been in a lot of pain from Hemorrhoids and fissures with no letup, In Bangkok Samui the Doctor keeps telling me that the operation is Really Really sore and better to take pain pills and do some self help, like a high fiber diet, so massage myself in that region to relax the sphincter. Nothing seems to work! Ive been doing a lot of research on the net to see what is available. I came across the video on Youtube which gives me some hope, but when I spoke to the doctor about this medication he said its not available in Thailand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWa4iaKA5II 1) Bupivacaine 2) Exparel My current situation is really affecting my life. Can anyone advise on where would be the best place to have the operation done. Also if you have had the operation, how was the healing time Thank you
February 6, 20206 yr https://www.phukethospital.com/doctor/art-hiranyakas/ Professor Art Hiranyakas is an excellent colorectal Dr/Surgeon who is based in both Phuket and Bangkok. Have seen him on a couple of occasions and he is excellent as is his English. I can highly recommend him.
February 6, 20206 yr You won't get what you need on Samui. G eoither to the doctor listed above in Phuket, or to this doctor in Bangkok: https://www.bumrungrad.com/doctors/Chucheep-Sahakitrungruang He can also be seen once a week at Bangkok Christian hospital https://www.bch.in.th/en/doctor-th-4/surgery/item/584-doc22.html
