If you buy and ship a 10,000 baht microphone to Thailand from Japan what taxes and/or shipping costs can you expect to have to pay?  The item is not available in Thailand and I can ship it here easily.  I'm just concerned about what charges might apply at customs if I order it.

Thanks.

That would depend on many variants, the main ones being HOW you ship it, dont use a courier, and who intercepts it on the day.

There are FREE calculators available to give you an idea, and there is a simple form to complete if you dont agree with the assessment and wish to appeal.

Everything else, like most things here, is entirely up to what happens on the day.

You can make it as easy as possible. If you know the approximate weight and size, call your post office and ask that question.

The guys at the post office won't know the import duty rate, that's not their job.

But calling customs could lead to an answer.
