Popular Post Beggar
Opposite of the police station in Central Pattaya on the Beach Road there is a tourist information center. On the Beach Road there are now some boots selling food and other things. I wanted to find out what is celebrated there and for how many days this will be. So I asked the young guy sitting there at this tourist information center. But he didn't speak English but only Chinese. Then I looked at the information written there - all of it was only in Chinese. What a bad experience for a Farang. Obviously we are really written off here already. 1 1

Popular Post Beggar
A tourist information center should serve tourists and at least speak English. In respect of how many languages I speak - German, French, English and Tagalog (because I lived some years on the Philippines). I think your posting has only the purpose to be insulting. What a strange person you are. Hopefully you are not staying in Thailand... If the Thais meet many people like you I can understand their behavior. 5

swissie
English is the universal language (especially in Tourist Hot Spots). But not to worry. Thai's are flexible. During the "Russian-Rush", massage parlors quickly posted MACCAX on their Neon Light advertising above the door. Surely, should a heavy influx of visitors from Zimbabwe occur, they would quickly advertise their services in Zimbabwes many Tribal Dialects. But when it comes to serious (financial) negotiations, it's still English. Trust me!

dabhand
is this the 'China Tourist Service Center'? Located opposite Central on Beach Road. Maybe that's why it only has a Chinese speaker.
